Installing Java on Ubuntu 10.04

Installing Java on Ubuntu 10.04 is quite easy,

Goto System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager

Enter your user password and goto Search bar and enter JDK and hit Enter. It will list plenty of Java Packages select the Open-JDK-6 and allow every other packages to be installed and click on Apply button to start installing.

or

Open up terminal,

sudo apt-get install java
